Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I and my husband took our son with us in the interview. Our appointment was yesterday @ 11 am, we arrived at the place almost 11 o'clock. At the intrance, there was a guard who inspect for ID's before going into the building, because my ID (passport) already expired, my husband had to go in first to confirm our interview appointment, while I was outside, one of the guards came out and told me that I could come in, too. When me and my son came into the building, I could see a large waiting area that was almost empty, we had to undergo a metal detector first and after that the guard told me to proceed to this another person, that was waiting while standing (I had no idea that he was the officer that will interview us) my husband approached him first, he shook our hands and told us that he's the officer who would do the interview then he led us again to this second waiting area (not as large as the first), and told us to wait. There were 1 couple waited and few individuals, there were su... read complete review

Try not to park in their car park (very expensive parking).
Entering security were friendly and helpful. The downside was the wait time, we arrived 5-10 mins early since we live 2hrs away but waited a long time (45-50 mins) with one other couple in the waiting room. The IO who interviewed us was pleasant and he didn't make us uncomfortable (we were very nervous and he took the edge off), the interview lasted about 15 mins. It was short and we never felt interrogated, in all very good experience.

Im sorry if this is really random, our interview is really casual and i cant really remember the first questions she asked so please bare with me:
Our schedule is at 945 and arrived at Suite A USCIS, chula vista at 920. Came in line coz theres another family who is ahead of us, waited a lil bit for the security and when he arrived he asked if he can help us. I said "good morning" and gave him my binder showing my interview schedule. waited for 2 minutes till he opened the door for us and let us in. Getting inside the building needs security still so theres a machine like airport style that scans stuff and u have to put your stuff in a basket. My husband and i have to put our belts and watch and ring into the basket and was advised to turn our cellphones off (we left our phones inside the car). After that, the security told us to stand in front of the marker and wait till someone in the counter calls us. We waited for 5 minutes and we were called, and asked for my intervi... read complete review

We had two female officers for our interview and they were very nice and easy to talk to. They were very happy for us! The process went smooth and they were glad we brought extra copies of everything for them.

(Please note: The contractor security guards, Paragon Systems, are condescending and rude here. They talk to you like your a dumb five year old child. I have had interactions with three different officers, all with the same "high and mighty" attitude. I asked for their supervisor's info once and the guy quickly changed his tone once he saw I am a Federal Employee. I feel bad for immigrants that hardly speak English. These guys give a bad impression of the US to foreigners.)
